NWGS Question

I am new to the forum and to the idea of knife making. Not sure if I am in the right forum to ask this question. Correct me if I'm not. Just got the plans for making a NWGS and have been reading over them. Just wondering when making the tracking block brackets if using 1 3/4" angle iron would work instead of bending flat stock or cutting a tube? Is there a reason it is not an option listed here? Thanks

I would still recommend using a tube for the tracking "block" that the wheel bolts to, but if you're just talking about the brackets that hold the pivot bolt and block to the tracking arm, then yes, you can certainly use some angle iron. If I recall correctly, that's exactly what I did.
