Just made some NWU-carta (pronounced 'en-woo-karta' ) which is mycarta using an unserviceable blue digital camo Navy Working Uniform. My first every attempt at mycarta and I think I'm going to like it. Its wierd that it still has a cloth feel to the outer skin - I cut off a chunk and worked it and polished it a little just to see what it was like. Layered digital camo makes some interesting patterns.

Lost the WIP pics ... but here's a couple.

Set it on the bill of my cover - its a little washed out compared to the original material.

Maybe a little better. (BTW, that's my #4 knife in the picture which will be wearing the NWUcarta scales.)

cool idea man...anxiously awaiting outcome

there are tons of other cool ideas to branch off from. We used to use stuff like this for making fraternity letter shirts:

Bandannas, sports teams etc.
