This blade is a collaboration between Josiah Boomershine and myself . It is called O wakizashi because of length . It still needs final polish and to establish Yakote line on Kissaki .This is big heavy duty blade .
Should take a few months to complete polish, hardware , Saya...... Bubba

Probably use some Honika wood , more traditional looking . Will use steel tsuba and copper fuchi / Kashira . I think the theme will be Bamboo
leaves . Color is another thing ??/ I was thinking of Black and copper with white same, black 12mm ito, and copper menuki . I was also thinking of a segmented Saya with battle wrap .... Outfitting one is like buying a car or truck ? hard to decide on color ????

Thats Aldo's 1075 low manganese great stuff for hamons . Can use water or a light oil for quench . I like the steel so much , I bought a 4' x 4' piece in case he runs out . This kind of steel makes great knives and swords . His W-2 is similar in mang. content but, is better steel for that particular swordman. .......... Bubba
