old stone

Fred, great belated find. You may want to take a few close up shots of the surface.

Hard to tell for sure, but looks like it might be a soft Arkansas.

I have it's twin and mine is a soft Arkansas, which I've had for many years.

If that's what it is, it looks like it might be a bit gunked up. Cleaning it off with a solvent like lacquer thinner should help.
