Tonight was an awesome night. I got several hours of work done, and just a little while ago, dad hands me this Buck 301. He said he doesn't ever remember it NOT bring in my granddads pocket and it was now mine. It's several decades old, the finish is worn slick, only the pen blade is still intact, but it is perfect.
I sharpened the one blade and will carry it just like it sits.
This is different from some of his guns that I have because those were bought and put away. But this was with him every single day for decades. He put the scratches on it, the sharpening marks are his, the finish wore away in his pocket...
Despite other undesirable things happening today, in the end, today was a great day. :5:
