Pins on wrought iron?

With wrought iron as bolsters,what do you guy's use
for pins,or do you use pins?I was wondering about look's

I've wondered the same thing, and i think there are 3 answers:

1) don't use wrought for bolsters
2) if you do, use something contrasting to pin it with and make the difference a design element
3) use screws instead of pins.

I've not done bolsters with wrought because I don't want to do 2 or 3. Also, it'd be difficult to fit bolsters and still etch the wrought, hence answer 3. I hope someone else answers who actually knows.

oh you have to make them yourself, I never said anything about it being easy.
Hey we are knifemakers, we can do anything.

(except fix cars :D HEHEHE)
 
If you're making your own pins would you have to make sure that the grain is running the same direction or do you not think it would matter?
