Hi everyone!
I'm thinking of building a tray to grind the blade of a pocketknife so that it doesn't scratch or leave marks when opened.
Does anyone know of or could share a project for building one?
If you also know where to buy one, please let me know.

Don't you mean grind the liner relief so it doesn't scratch the blade? I use a rotary table with a pin to hold the blade. I'll try to get a photo later today if needed. Lots of folks use a thin washer/spacer rather than the liner relief. I've done both, but prefer the relief.
 
Here are a couple of views. Note they do require a rotary table, but the same thing can be done with just a bar allowed to pivot on the milling machine table. This view shows the jig laying on top of rotary table with the morse taper that fits into center of rotary table and screw that holds the liner in place.

The next view is with the jig in place on RT. In use the counter sunk holes at each end is for a screw to hold the jig in lace. The screw in the liner is counter sunk type so the cone centers the liner so it makes a nice half circle as the RT is rotated while milling. The bar shows how the liner is held in place while making the relief cut.

I normally cut the reliefs before installing/cutting the bolster in. If the bolster is already in place, then a spacer is required and must be same thickness as the bolster so the liner is held level.

I hope this gives you an idea how it can be done - not be any means the only way, nor perhaps even the best way? It just works for me.
