Propane Fitting question

Ok I got a tank gifted to me. Its about twice the size of a 20 lb tank. Problem is I went to hook up my hose and the fittings are not the same. It's not the old school smaller threaded one its almost the same size as whats on any standard 20 lb but the threads just are off. It apears that it can be swapped out so before I head off to the store and start mumbling I figured I checked here first.

Anyone got an answer ?
 
It was the older style... I have to get the newer larger female conector to hook my regulator to. Just having a hard time getting one local.
