Resources to learn to make automatics?

So I'm not new to knives at all, but am newish to folders. And also new are laws in Texas making the carrying of autos legal (!!!!). I've made a slippie and a couple of lockbacks, and intend to make many more of the latter until I can do them efficiently and cleanly. There's a fellow down the road from me who makes auto lockbacks (and linerlocks) with a mechanism he invented, and I hope to convince him to teach me how to do it. Aside from that (which is clearly the best option), are there any good resources in print, web, WIP, tutorial or any other form that can teach a guy to make automatics?

I have never made an assisted opening knife. I.E.Switchblade. But, a quick google search on a "how-to make aswitchblade knife" yielded dozens of available resources. Several ofthem took me here. There were lots and lots ofyou-tube videos.

Good topic! Boss was promoting a book on here a while back, Knife Mechanisms, or something like that. It looked really interesting and I've thought about buying it a few times. Last I looked, it had no reviews on his site. Anyone tried that book? Does it have a lot of auto designs? Worth the money?

I am very interested in making an auto myself, and here's what I can add-

The book "Knife Mechanisms just for the fun of it. " by Leroi Price has several auto designs and a bunch on assisted openers. You can find it here- http://usaknifemaker.com/books-videos-plans-c-97/book-knife-mechanisms-by-leroi-price.html

Chris Crawford made a video on how to make a scale release auto. I've watched it a couple of times but I'm waiting to tackle one until after I'm done paying my dues making slip joints. I just looked at his website, and it doesn't look like that video is available anymore. But he does have one on how to make a lever lock auto. I'll have to put that on my list of stuff to get. Check it out here- http://chriscrawfordknives.com/#/lever-action-autos/4583420891

Don- I have your slipjoint book and like it very much. I'd love to get a copy of that flipper design. Check your email.
