Rolling mill speed

Hello ,
I am about to build a rolling mill and would like suggestions as to what the rpm/gear ratio should be. I'm thinking about using 2-3" diameter rolls. Does that sound about right?

I think I just answered my own question as a friend just loaned me his copy of the McDonald rolling mill plans. McD calls for 20rpm w/2" rolls.
