Dropped my billet and restacked it incorrectly, wrought iron, wrought iron,1095 = no edge
That's what I was thinking.Cut it in half and restack the 1095 to 1095 forge weld it and you may be able to save it?
Yes - this. Perhaps even a different, contrasting edge material? I dunno.Stick a piece of fresh 1095 in between the two drawn/halved/ground 1095 face of the stack and reweld to avoid a center seam.

I mean - you DID screw up. Being able to overcome your screw ups is a valuable skill. I was playing with my "first knife" I posted not too long ago earlier today. That ended up being a 3-1/4" knife paring knife. The plan was to make a 5" clip point skinning knife.
