Selling knives across the border

I‘m looking for advice especially from Canadians. What is involved in selling a knife across the US border? Are there a lot of duties and tax involved?

I have been thinking about trying to sell a few knives and quite frankly Nova Scoatia is not the place. Our economy is in the toilet right now.

It is not very hard Brad. It is going the other way that is a pain. I have had to break my back practically to get stuff into Canada from the States....

Unless it's an auto or gravity knife there isn't a problem. I send out by mail regularly. Declare on the needed parcel slip from the post office and that's it for going into the USA. For coming into Canada just realize it takes a very long time to move mail here and the same restrictions apply. Frank
