i'm looking for some input on sharpening systems for putting the edge on newly ground blades that have never had a edge. sharpening is my downfall when making knifes, so any easy fool proof system would be a great help. thanks for any and all help....

I love EdgePro as well. You can rough in the edge on the grinder and finish it on the EdgePro. They are also awesome people to deal with.

I just bought a tormek t7 one of the best sharpeners on the market today. I havent even got it but if you have the money you can ruff out a edge in minutes to splitting hairs . I have a paper wheel but I just put the edge on free hand with a structured abrasive belt and then go to the paper wheel . All this will change when the machine gets here.I forgot to mention the edge pro is 600 bucks landed with all the bells and whistles verses the tormec profesional t7 with all the guides for 750 shipping included. kellyw

I also started with the Edge Pro. In fact, I used that same fixture for my first professional job.
