Shop Visit (Got Put To Work)

I visited the shop of a fellow KD this weekend and got put to work helping him finish up a few pieces for an upcoming show he will be attending (name intentionally witheld). Granted, I didn't do much to help, but it was extremely educational and fun.

Here is a pic of a WIP that I fell in love with. I can't wait to see the finished product. Hopefully I will get the chance to snap a couple of photos of it before some lucky individual buys it.

Blade is 1095, differentially heat treated with an absolutely AWESOME hamon.

I promised not to post more photos or tell who the make is til the show. I will say, I am extremely impressed with the work this maker is producing. I have an "almost finished" pic of this blade as well as numerous pics of other pieces he is taking to the show. I'll post more soon.
