Small Bowie in the works

I started a small Bowie this week. 1075 steel. When I did the sketches I intended to go with a wooden handle but decided to go with elk antler. Here is a couple of pictures of the work so far. I'm doing the fit up of all the handle materials (micarta and brass) now. The blade will have a threaded through tang. I haven't decided how to finish off the butt cap yet. I'd like to do a hidden nut concept but not quite sure how to go about it. If any of you guys have done this I'd sure appreciate some advise and tips.
