I've been moaning about my difficulties with Hamons and heat treating gone bad but here is one that went the way I wanted it to. Avery nice Chef's knife out of Alabama Damascus with a Wenge handle. My wife doesn't like the look of Damascus for a kitchen knife - she says it looks dirty all the time - so after I etched this one I put a Scotchbrite finish on it. I finished the handle with two coats of Winox Marine Sealer and two coats of Winox Marine Finish. I like the way it turned out and it has found a place in our kitchen. Thanks for looking.
