Through another forum, I have become internet-friends with a guy that reminds me a little of Denny and some of you other guy (in a good way)... Retired military, highly decorated, old school awesome guy in general. Well he still works for the USAF and one of his personal friends is being promoted to CMSgt at the end of December. He contacted me a few months ago about building something "classy and presentable" to give his friend on the occasion. I have been SO nervous, stressed, excited and honored by this request!!! I finally got the knife to him yesterday out in CO, and his response was that I blew away his expectations. :D :D :D

9" Overall
4.5" blade, 5/32" 1095 from Aldo, flat ground and finished by hand to 2000 grit before buffing lightly with 000 steel wool
handle is black paper micarta with mosaic pins, and rosewood burl with solid brass pins

Thanks everybody! I was really honored to build this one, and the guy that bought it posted some pics of it on the other forum.

I even made it into a pic with his beloved Yellowhorse! :D
