Stabilizing Input Wanted....

I just joined the site, I was searching about stabilizing on line and kept getting pulled here, looked around and joined. I am disabled with a bad back, kid free now and don't know how to sit still much. I have access to a good bit of local burls, spalts and figures, and been selling some to help with my limited income a bit. I enjoy cutting custom knife handle stock, talking with the custom knife makers, and seeing the finished product, just amazing how raw wood can look all dressed up on a custom knife. Right now trying to pick up a lil extra cash get my saw fixed, in the mean time like to hear some input on drying/preparing scales/handles for stabilizing. I am also interested in building a stabilizing pot and learn to stabilize and dye wood. Mostly burls and spalted woods. And finally learn this art of custom knife making. And by looking around here I am certain I am in the right place to learn about and meet a bunch of good friends.

Thanks
Bill
