Just finished this stag bowie that would make someone a great "user bowie", as it is 440C and is hollow ground to a high performance thickness that would make short work of big game, and has enough backbone and weight to chop wood. If you want an eye catching knife that is high performance in field this is it. Has nice forward balance point. 11.5" overall.
Specs:
Blade: 440C, 7" sharp, RC61, .242 thick at ricasso, hollow ground, finished to 800 grit (green compound), cold treated, sharpened.
Fittings: Nickel silver guard (soldered) and spacers, with file worked solid copper spacer, black fiber spacer, copper-nickel mokume butt and stainless nut with lanyard.
Handle: Amber stabilized sambar stag
Sheath: My cowhide, hand sew, tooled with overlay, pig skin liner, stud and strap.
