Stand off ?

I'm doing a custom set of scales for a Emerson journeyman and when I took it apart I noticed one of the screws felt a little different on disassembly. One of the standoffs has a bure in it and will not except a screw,it's odd to because you can run a screw all the way through from the opposite side.So all I want to do is run a tap through it and chase the threads,I of coarse will have to order the correct size tap which leads me to the question,What size screws do they use.I called Emerson with the same question and after getting put on hold so the guy could go ask one of the assembly guys I was told that they were to busy to answer my question and to send them a email with the same question.Does anyone know so I can get this knife done and back to the owner.

I don't know the answer to you specific question on the Emerson, but the info in the attached link may help you narrow it down.

Another thing you could do is take the screw to your local hardware store and try it on known size nuts until you find the correct size.

I don't think, I'll be buying anything from Emerson, sounds like pretty poor customer service.

I took the stand off to my local hardware and was unable to match it up,granted they don't have a big selection ,my next try will be my local gun shop.
