Stencils

Has anyone ever used the Pin Feed Stencil Roll from Jantz suppply? I have a request from a client, to do some etching on 10 factory made knives as a memorial to his Dad, to be given to family members. I am wondering if the stencil roll stuff works, and what type of printer you must use to make the stencil with? I don't etch my mark, but I do have an etcher that I made to do some etching on some blades, and have a vinyl sign maker make my stencils for that, but I need smaller letters than she can make for this project.
Also any other ideas where to have a small number of stencils made, at a reasonable price?
Thanks in advance for any help. Dale

The blue stencil roll is used by typing on it with a typewriter without a ribbon. IMHO it looks pretty cheezy.
Ernie Grospitch on this forum will do a sheet for 37.50 (I think).
He will also do a single name.
His stencils are top notch, search him and give him a call.

I would go with Ernie too. What you putting on the blade? There are a lot of way to put something on a blade. I have used etching, pad printing, sublimation and engraving.

Pad Printing is great for a one color on a coated blade. It is not cheap.
Sublimation is cheapest for putting a multi color logo on a blade.
Engraving well all have seen that.

I echo the suggestion on Ernie. Great guy to deal with and a good price for quality stencil.

He can do almost any custom stencil you may need. Will this be 10 copies of the same stencil?

God Bless

I think you may get a better price from Ernie if you only got 3 stencils instead of a hole sheet. I had Ernie do my logo and have done 80 plus with the same stencil so far. the stencil still looks really pretty good. Im thinking another 30 etches on the same stencil maybee more. For under 40 bucks its a great deal.

I will be putting " In Loving Memory Of xxxxxxxxxx" on 10 blades. I will need two different sizes of stencils. How can I get in touch with Ernie?
Thanks everyone. Dale
