Hey fellas, been lurking for a while now and finally felt its time I contributed to the site!
So, I'd like to share with you a piece made by a very talented UK maker Stuart Wilson.
His beautiful blade influenced by the traditional Khukri…
12” blade, 18” overall length of 8mm O1 steel. Flat/sabre grind with a convex final edge. Green canvas micarta with thick red liners and a stabilised amboyna pommel, held with stainless 7/16” tubes.
The work that Stu has put into this is incredible. For such a heavy blade the balance is excellent and the mirror finish is way beyond what I was expecting.
The ridge along the spine and the edges of the choil have been rounded off expertly.
Stu specializes in big blades and has some great handle designs.
Thanks for looking!
