Last evening while I was out back firing 3 blades, my wife thought the little quirky things I do when working on the blades is funny. She thinks I'm the only one who does the weird little things when I do blade work...I told her she was crazy and everyone had a quirk or two. What do you all think? Do you have a funny little thing you do everytime?
Since I currently only use 1095, I fire all my blades in charcoal. So what I do is this:
- Always let them "soak" in the flames (about 30 minutes) until charcoal gets to gray before I hit it with the hair dryer.
- The Charcoal always gets a cigar butt thrown in at the beginning for "Character". (I was going to call my Knives - Stoogie Blades...LOL).
- Fridays are bad for firing blades. They always warp on Fridays....
