This is a field dressing tool I came up with. I got to the end of a piece of steel and didn't know what to do with that short of a piece. Then I started grinding. The knife and sheath fits in your shirt pocket so you don't have to digg through five layers of cloths to get to your knife. The tail design provides good grip when pulling the hook through skin.

This one was ordered as a birthday gift.

 
I love that little jewel. As always, beautiful work on your part. Truth be known, that is all you need to clean an animal. I always get a kick out of watching a "city slicker" with a knife strapped to his leg, that would double as a knee splint, trying to clean a deer or hog!

I'm curious. How on earth did you ever come up with that name?:biggrin:

Yeah, I was joking with you. When I saw the pic, I thought, that thing looks more like a guppy than some guppies I have seen!

With the right hunter I am sure this "Guppy" will get well used. Nice design and a perfect size.
