When I ordered the slicing knife blank to evaluate it I also received a little "freebie" knife.
It's a small clip point and will be perfect for some trimming and paring in the kitchen.
Since it was a freebie, and I had some goofy looking freebie scales, not to mention some 5 minute epoxy that my neighbor gave me, I figured I'd throw together a quick and easy...
The store bought blank blade is 420 stainless
.0905" thick (2.3mm for my friends across the pond)
3.5" blade (3" cutting edge)
~4" handle
Scales are resinwood in blue, black, and oak sanded to 600, light buffing, and waxed with Mother's.
I don't care for the mirror finish and may try to satin it tomorrow when I work on the slicer. The mirror to me looks like a Wal-Mart special... Granted this isn't much more, but Wally World doesn't have mosaic pins!
