....a new one for my wife.
Blade length is 220 mm, width 2,4 mm, steel : 115W8 (2442)

Cobras Saffron and copper-silver mush on the handle.Tang peened over copper on the butt.

Of course no Gun-Blue on kitchen knives, this is the tempering color.it is only in the right light angle blue, actually it is dark violet, like it should be.
This steel takes an average hardness of 66 HRC and has 1,2 % Carbon and 2% of Tungsteen, so tempering under 200 Degrees Celsius wont relieve that much on hardness.I tempered with 225 Degrees C about 50 minutes three times, now it should have 61 HrC (+/- 1) ...

...and a new knife block was also real necessary.Made out of Teak and some kind of Shorea hardwood.

Beautiful all around! The blade profile reminds of a bush knife Tai did a few years back. Love the knife block that goes with it!
