Two More

I've had a bit more time on my hands so which has translated into being able to finish projects. Five of the larger ones were made but not yet finished, the smaller of the two is a neck knife prototype that I finished one afternoon. Both are 1/8" 1084 from Aldo's new batch heat treated to about 61HRC give or or take a point. As well, both are flat ground, the larger all the way to spine, the smaller about 2/3 of the way.

Any hints, tips or critiques are welcome.

Handle: Stabilized Lace Maple Burl
Pins/Thong Tube: Stainless Steel
Sheath: Pocket sheath in 8/9oz with pen/pencil pocket
Liners: Black and green vulcanized spacer

* the dimples in the sheath were supposed to make the leather look distressed but my technique still needs much practice.

swapped a paring knife for a 2" x 4" x 36" piece of koa. had to get maintenance at motel to cut it to 15" then lugged it around in my backpack for the 12 hour trip home.

Thanks guys. It actually took me a while to find my stride in grinding as I have some nerve damage in both hands. I had to transition from grinding with a jig to grinding totally freehand and learning to take breaks in between to stretch. With any luck, I'll be grinding like you folks someday.
