I only rarely post pictures of my knives, but I thought these two new knives from Anders deserved a wider audience.
The consistency of his fit and finish is outstanding. His sensitivity to materials and texturing is second to none. And of course his designs are so clearly expressive that everything he does is instantly recognizable as his, even though it also clearly draws deeply from Scandinavian and Japanese heritages.
His knives reward repeated and close examination. And he's a great guy if you ever get a chance to meet him at a show.
He's also done some great collaborations with Don Hansen which are worth seeking out if you haven't seen pics of them.
His next project for me is a shikomizue.
