I acquired the ‘U Weld It’ grinder kit from USA Knife Supply. Everything one would need to build a tilting grinder base that takes the 1 1/2’ square tool arms. This kits has slots and tabs in each piece to assemble, then weld together. Instructions are well laid out, completely discribing the parts, where they go, and the order in which to assemble. Tips and tricks to keep it going in the right direction.
Anyway, 2 hours of prep Work for the parts, 2 hours of welding and assembly and it’s ready for the motor and a test drive.
more pics to come

Man, that is cool of you to give a shout out for Boss Dawg. How would you describe your welding skills? Like are you self taught or a pro welder? Have you done a lot of fab work previously?

Nicely done, Peter! I look forward to the clip of it running. :)

Is that star wheel that dogs the toolbar for the worktable relocatable to the other side? In other words, is that welded nut I see on the motor side open and usable for dogging the toolbar? The reason I ask is that my early KMG has contact wheel size limited by the fact the toolbar dog is on the belt side, and limits the size of wheel to about 16". With an early version of the KMG toolbar (Kanter design) there's no way to relocate.

This frame might be a way to build a 20" contact wheel machine or even larger and avoid the Burr King $$$$.
