Here is the latest I've finished up. Uddeholm D2 from usaknifemaker.com, tapered and partially skeletonized tang, 304 double-miter bolsters, 303 corby screws. Stabilized black dyed California Sycamore from theburlsource.com. 9 ounce shoulder leather horizontal sheath. The blade is 4 5/8" or so and finished out right at .170 thick. After these, I'm going to start to try some embellishment, two tone dye and tooling on the sheaths and as soon as I can afford a graver, some basic floral patterns on the bolsters. Gussy them up a little bit. This one is headed to a gallery, hope you all like it!
