Greetings from Greece,
Thank you for accepting.

My name is Vasilis and I wanted your help since all my other efforts have been fruitless. 30+ years ago my father gave me a knife when I went to a scout camp for the first time by myself, about 15 years old. Life brought it so that I had forgotten it along with all those objects from my life at that time. Now it's time for my own children to join the scouts and while clearing out the "treasure" I came across the knife in the picture. I remember that he had told me that it was a knife from some military unit in the Balkans but...

what do you think, do you think its origin can be found?

Thank you again and I wish you the best

I know this is a late answer but I think it might be a Boker subsidiary (German) by the logo on the sheath. It very well be from a military unit issued when bayonets were scarce and/or a fighting knife was preferable.
I'm not sure but the materials and design says Boker military style to me.
