I just put together a little WIP on this knife down in the WIP forum. The knife is W2 with a bit of a hamon, flat ground with swedges. The fittings are mild steel, fluted and plum browned, with a couple stainless spacers. Handle is oosik. OAL is a bit over 10 inches. This was a re-make on order of a knife I did about 18 months ago.

I'd be glad for suggestions on how to build a sheath for this thing. With the oval guard, short-ish blade, and heavy handle, I'm struggling to come up with a sheath I like that will hold it well.

Jason,
Try either a Mexican loop sheath or a lined wooden sheath/scabbard with frog. Either of those will accommodate the large guard and allow for a retaining strap that goes around the midpoint of the handle.
