Wholesale pricing and retail markup.
I'm far from selling any knives at this point, but as a custom furniture maker that's how my mind works.
How does wholesale pricing and common retail markup work in the knife world?
For example in the furniture industry retailers will markup a product I make anywhere from one to two and a half times the wholesale price to arrive at their retail pricing.
Is that about the norm for knives as well?
I know people are always a bit iffy about talking about pricing, but any info you are willing to provide would be helpful.
