Hey guys,
So I am working on a modified eerf grinder. I got the plans from our friend Chris at Wilmont. I liked some features of his 101 grinder and I also liked some features of the EPG grinder. So I changed the plans a bit to make something that I think will work for my new shop. ( Pics to follow soon) I am making a multi platen like the one on the EPG grinder, I am using a 1.5" x 1.5" tooling arm with a 1/2 hole in it with a notch cut in it so I can attach a lever so it tights down like the EPG. My question is, what kind of bolt and or what is its name , do i use to attach the platen to the tooling arm. I am thinking it needs to be a smooth shaft on one end and threads on the other ? Sorry for my ignorance , but I'm learning
I new i should have taken metal shop back in high school lol.
Thanks guys
