Wiring Motors CW and CCW to run in tandem

I am experimenting with not a double hollow grinder, but a double flat grinder.
Im utilizing 2 flat KMG platens with a direct drive on the motors.

My question is this, if i have the same manufaturer same speed motor that can be wired to Counter Clock Wise and the other Counter Clock Wise, with both motors running will they be the same other than the direction of travel?

Im open for any ideas or devil's advocates on this one, its all in the concept stage as a gather parts as I can afford them.

Thoughts? Comments??

Thanks and God Bless

I agree with Sam.

They're not gonna necessarly be within half an RPM of eachother, but it really shouldn't be significant enough to make a difference.

They should run close enough in speed to work.
I think just as important here is using good sharp ceramic belts that are of A even usage.

Otherwise one may grab more than the other and give you problems?

In all honest truth, I have seen this setup run with 2 different manufacturer's motors with the same specs and it works fine.

It is obvious to most, but for them that needs it make sure the blade is being pushed out not dragged in.

Thanks for the input guys. This is still in the concept stage, still working out the tracking and thickness adjustments. If anyone has photos of a similar unit I would love to see them!

Thanks and God Bless
