Wood type

I have had this board for a long while now and have never used any of it on a knife. I was hoping someone would tell me what type of wood it is I’m thinking it’s lace wood but I don’t know and is it any good for knife handles.

Its lacewood/leopardwood. Makes pretty good handles.

I agree with J. Doyle. It most certainly looks like leopardwood/lacewood.

How big of piece do you have? That is a really nice piece judging by the pattern.

It makes nice knife handles and does not need to be stabilized.
