Burnishing is usually mentioned when talking about polishing - finishing the sheaths edges and welt . For example this sheath has a Burnished Welt-Edge. Ken

Thanks for the kind words . The torch sheath is an idea I had , and has actually worked out quite well . The one in the photo was a prototype and wasn't quite finished at that stage I still hadn't put the snap on the flap . The spiral cylinder and the flap are all one piece of leather and that...
