I always enjoy this show whether I buy something or not. Always nice to see things you never get to see anywhere else. Didn't buy much just a pair of grips, a beef stick and a bundle of micarta from Dozier.
Steve, those look great. The new owners will be very proud to receive them. Put this last week of constant shoppers and questions behind you and have a great Christmas. Merry Christmas to you and your family.

Tulsa show is how I learned about this place. Bill Coye gave me a card with this website on it while I was talking to him a few shows back. Truth be known it is probebly what got me into making knives. Thanks Bill, Thanks Tulsa gun show.

Although I'm on here reading the forums most every day I'm not the most frequent poster. I thought I'd post pictures of a couple that I have recently finished up.

This knife turned out very well, it was the first time I did 2...
I've found that if the "wiggle" is small enough I can sand the flats with sandpaper on a flat piece of quartz countertop. Depending on how deep the "wiggle" is sometimes this will sand it out.
Thanks
Thanks for the answers. I ended up taping both top and bottem to get it to set tight next to and over the plunge then taped the sides just to keep solution off the blade. Turned out very well.
Thanks

I've got a couple of hollow ground blades where the only room for my etch is in the grind next to the plunge. I've seen where several makers put there mark there, question is how do you get you stencil to lay down in there to get a good etch? Do you maybe put you pad set on the stencil before...
I think your right. I'm pretty sure that sure that the 25v is too much. Sounds like I'm fryin bacon when etching. I'm just gonna wire it for 12v and see how that goes. I think I'll also buy some proper electrolyte, I've read where the salt water I'm currently using gets a bit hot.
Thanks for...
I recently built the Bob Warner etcher from Cris Crawfords website and got some stencils from Ernie. I'm curious if anyone has instructions on how to wire the etcher with a switch to switch from 25-12 volt. Right now it is set up per the Cris Crawford website at what I think is 25 volts. The...
I appreciate all of yalls suggestions. I think with this one I'm gonna dig up some hardware to attach the scales. The scales on the knife in question are pretty thin so I think I'll hold off on the hidden pins until I'm working with some thicker material.
Thanks for your time
Jeff
If you were making a knife with hidden pins and the scales were G10 what material would you use for the pins. I have micarta, cold steel, stainless, aluminium, and brass.
Thanks for your time
