    The Scorpion

Very nice set, I especially like the sheath. The knife is equally nice.

    Nightmare knife

This knife gave me fits. I tried to cheat on a few steps and the Knife Gods decided to make me have to redo it after breaking an inch and a half off the tip. Anyway my first frame handle and soldered guard. 1080 steel, wrought hardware, steel pins and bovine slabs, 5 1/2" from tip to guard with...

    No Frills Knife

Hi all, I been down for a while and haven't been able to smith anything but started to feel better and decided to give it a go. I hammered out a piece of leaf spring for this one. O.A.L. is 11" with a 6.5" blade wrought iron fittings and stacked leather grip. It feels good to be making stuff...

    First in awhile

Thanks for the nice comments guys. I haven't carved anything for a long time and antler isn't the most forgiving material to mess with, next time wood will be my choice. Keith

Thanks guys, I did a center seam with a tooled diamond pattern on it. Took it up to Friendship NMLRA shoots this week. A lady I met wanted it so I no longer have it. But it did help me get a new forge and anvil. I wish I had taken pictures of the finished package, but did not. Keith

Thanks Travis, I hand scraped it in. I have an old Craftsman metal lathe that I put a quick change tool post on. I took on of the holders with a carbide cutter and a little oil. Then worked it in. Would have been easier on a mill but I enjoy the hand work. Less chance of scrapping a piece.

Close to finishing this up, hopefully tomorrow. Forged from an old pry bar, 14" o.a.l. with 9" blade to the bolster. Cow horn tip, as much solid material as I could squeeze out 2.5" wrought fittings. Got to give it some age and a sheath then it will be done. Probably won't get a chance to take...
