simple ways to scribe the edge?

I use drill bits too. Instead of going a size smaller than my stock material, I go with slightly large which makes it a little easier for my banged up hands to hold the bit while scribing the line, flip over do it again.

    Elmax Bushcraft up for grabs!

I just finished this blade and its sheath. It is a bushcraft style knife made from .179" elmax steel, hardened to 60HRC. Scales are Jade Green G10 with stainless hardware - you can see some pretty cool light effects in some of the pictures. Blade has a blasted and buffed finish for many years...

Could it be the "Foil" ?

X2 on the talcum powder. It makes life much easier. I also thoroughly clean the foil and blade with acetone before putting it together and sealing up.

    newest blade to its owner

Just wanted to show off my most recent blade. It was bought off of my workbench by the client. He got to pick the scales, and specifically requested a kydex inside waistband (IWB) sheath. He chose some of the stabilized curly Koa from Burlsource. Knife came out beautifully, and the client...

    Bandsaw sale

I've been using one of those for a few years now. It is a great saw for the price, especially when it is on sale, plus the 20% coupon. When I went to buy mine, I got to the register, handed over the coupon, swiped my card, signed, loaded, and left. I got home, looked at the receipt, and...

    First Knife with Cerakote

I can't wait to get set up for cerakote. Ive been reading what I can about spray guns(this is an entirely new arena for me!) Great job, do you have prior airbrush experience or were you totally green to it like me? And is it really as easy as some folk make it out?

    Other stainless options

If you have an evenheat, you can ht stainless. I use an evenheat, and I only work with stainless now. Only catch is, you will want to foil wrap your blades with ht foil. Otherwise it would cost you a couple belts to grind off all of the decarb you will end up with. Cryo isn't required, but...

    Sweet craigslist score

Well I made a great find on Craigslist today. Comes to show, it is never a bad idea to throw a few search terms at Craigslist in the morning. This old fella is moving and is selling all of his woodworking gear. Lucky for me! I wish I had brought more money with me because I probably...
