That is my hand forged "Mountain Man Butcher Knife" w/ an eight inch, 1095 carbon steel blade (3/16" thick), and a Tiger Maple handle. I had it made for me by my buddy Matt Lesniewski of ML Knives. Matt has made four or five knives of different types for me...all of which are in the photo...

Any type of black, dark brown, or dyed hardwood such as Walnut or Maple, and sometimes they used Buffalo Horn. The handles did not have any decoration...just the two large brass rivots. The knife is looking very good.

Got a question...is there anyway to "lock" down the color theme once you have chosen one at the bottom of your Profile page, or do you just have to "redo" it everytime you log on?

My tempered, 1095 carbon steel, "battle ready" Captain's Hanger Sword and Pirate Cutlass, both made by Windlass Swords.

The new theme is fine, but the colors, the light blue for instance, and the lighter colored letters in our Profiles...are kind of hard to see, and for those of us with problematic eyes, it's hard to read. Can the colors be changed to a darker color, and enlarged, at least in our own Profile...
