My first attempt at making a knife

Cool. I like them. Were you able to use them on your hunt? Im pretty sure all the muzzle gun seasons are over aren't they? (Unless you use it in a rifle season)

Thank you both for the replies. Dan, was yours done laproscopically or the big cut. I hear that changes the healing process considerably.

    Frankenstein 2x72 grinder - bounce ?

Is this a single speed or variable with multi stage pulleys. Does the bounce increase or decrease on different speeds? I'd start by checking the shaft from the pulley to drive wheel to make sure its straight and square to the rest of the machine.

simple ways to scribe the edge?

I built one in a short amount of time like the one Boss sells. I used the carbide tip out of a scribe tool like C Craft linked to. It cost me $5 and I just ground out the tip. The other steel I just had laying around. Quick, cheap, and easy. Works great.

    Question about NWG motor.

I know this doesn't answer your question exactly but I went through Wayne Coe here on the boards for my NWG motor. The price was reasonable enough that I figured when I had the money for a controller, I could swap the motor over to a compressor that needs one or I could sell it and only be out...

    Stabilized or not

Thanks for the replies. Thats kind of what I figured. BTW Boss. My third knife I finished I used the stabilized Turkish walnut from USKM. It is beautiful. Number 4 will have the other block of the same on it. I also saw the Turkish Walnut scales. Would these "need" to be stabilized or just a...
