To do SLACK BELT grinding on the COOTE can you just use the portion of the belt above the platen or is there a reason that doesn,t work well ?

I,m Gathering more info on grinders before i commit and wondering how much money it costs to build a NWG. So what did yours cost ? and a bit about the specs. Wheel size did you make a small wheel attachment etc. ?

I agree the KMG is proly the better grinder and was looking at the Coote for money reasons. I thought the basic KMG was around 1,000 ? I guess i need to take another look. I also wonder what people are spending to make a NWG ? Maybe i should start a thread on that
