Question about the CRKT Ripple Blue K405BXS

No, walmart never sold this model, but it was definitely a product of mass production without much QC. I still like it though, despite the varying colour. Everything else is top notch.

Question about the CRKT Ripple Blue K405BXS

I bought this knife online as New. I have no doubt that it is new and authentic, but I was wondering if the coloring should be better. I was expecting a deep blue, but instead, one of the scales actually looks aqua. Has anyone else seen one of these in person to tell me if mine is normal, or...

    ugly knife? Really?

Looks great to me. I get the same thing with my wood gun grips sometimes, but, I've learned not to show it to very many people until it's fine tuned.

Looking for info on these knives

Thanks for the input. Just knowing that that wavy knife is caled a "Kris" helps me to look at a lot of similar knives. They are fun to look at from time to time, and maybe I will polish them sometime. Thanks, Rick

    My first knife

If I were retired, I would be trying a few blades, but in the limited time that I have to make art, I just have to enjoy woodworking.

Looking for info on these knives

These knives were bought by my dad when he was in the Korean war. One time he said hey, do you want these? I never turn down things like that, and said sure! I imagine he bought them in Japan, as he was in the Navy, and spent much time there. Quality looks crude, and I can't read the...

    Question about knife spine filing

I would like to know how most of the knifemakers handle the filings on the spine of the blade. I am making my final of three knives (at least for now as gun grip making is my Forte'), and I'm making them for the kids. I was wondering if the resin should fill the gaps, or should I file the wood...

    More from my collection

I really found some cool Ken Onion knives, and I also have a Browning knife that is too shiny to use. The bottom one is a folder scalpel that comes in handy for my work in the shop. Finally, I have an Ultimate Equipment 1911 knife to match my Springfield RO. Fun hobby! I love it!

I have a lot of favorite knives, but I really like this one

This nice folder was made in Canada by a company called Ultimate Equipment. I bought a set of grips for it to match my Springfield 3" Micro Compact 1911. UE makes the knives to accept any 1911 grips. Cool idea as far as I'm concerned. I also have a matching one for my Springfield RO.
