1095 and Ironwood burl possibly a perfect combination for the kitchen!

Heres a full size chef knife I finished up this week. Its a 1095 blade that is 8 1/4 inches. The handle is Ironwood burl with mosaic pins and stainless lanyard tube.

That's a gorgeous chef's knife! The belly is a little more curved than I'm used to seeing, and I think that would make it better for chopping vegetables with a rocking motion. Well done!
 
That is a good looking knife Randy. I like that you spent a little time profiling the choil a bit for more finger relief. My preference is for a flatter profile chefs knife, but flat as the edge is near the heel, that might be easily accomplished by dropping the tip and only slightly changing the edge profile. I'm not suggesting you change this one mind you...

I notice you do the lanyard hole in your kitchen knives too, is this a signature of yours?
