220 switch for grinder and shop vac

Just got a push button 110-220 v switch for my 110 v belt grinder. It is two switches side by side with one set of buttons working them both. I plan on using a shop vac with a cyclone separator for dust collection. I am thinking of using the switch on the grinder and the other side to a plug in for the shop vac. The switch is a Grizzly D4157. If anyone has a good reason not to do this speak up. Ed

As long as the curcuit/breaker its connected to is rated to handle the full load (usually the starting load) amps of both the grinder and the vac (combined), you should be fine.

other thing to look at is the switch rating. if the switch is rated for 10 amps and your equipment uses 15amps, i see smoke in your future.

Scott Thanks I already looked at that, Switch is rated for 2 hp on 110v and 3 hp in 220v so it should be good. I am also going to put each of the two on separate breakers. Ed
