5" contact wheel

Has anyone ground with a 5" contact wheel? I needed something that would produce a deep grind. I have a 10" wheel and tried a 3" wheel but went too deep. I decide.d to use a 5" wheel. While this give a deep grind on 1/4" thick steel?

Yep, I just ground out a small knife yesterday on a 4" wheel. Just know your grind will not go that high on that small a wheel.

I am planning on working it up the spine just like I would with a larger wheel but I am wanting a deep grind. Any pictures?

No prob, I will get some this weekend. I actually ground out two on the 4" wheel, both are very deep . But not very high.

I just took the shots today of the small knife I ground with my 4" wheel. I really like the look and plan on using this wheel more often when hollow grinding small knives.
THis is the first time I have used it BTW.
