Ya know something? Gun barrels dont need hi-carbon steels. I'm thinking about mild steel and nickel 200 or 203E
Might be way easier to find in small square stock.

And neither do the cores of patternwelded blades, for that matter. Rados told me a good supplier for 203E, I'll have to find my notes...

I wonder where to get super small square rods like that? Its not high carbon steel either as it dont have to hold an edge like we are all used to using.

They probably had a setup next door that produced the rods.

I know, what a shame. I did watch it about 5 times before it was taken off. I wish I would have downloaded it. The video is available for purchase though.
