I had a lot of leather work done by John M. Cohea over the last couple months and I am really pleased with it. I asked John how much I owed him and he said he'd much rather have a knife or a hawk that I'd made for payment. Since cash is pretty tight I went along with his suggestion. After he mentioned forge finish I went to town. Here's the result. 13 1/4" blade forged from a new leaf spring, ebony handle, iron wagon wheel guard, spacer and butt cap from wrought iron wagon wheel. 19 3/8" overall. Another one of those design as I go projects.
