Curly maple hunter for my sone

With the new hunting season upon us, I decided to make a knife my son could take hunting with him. It's 9-3/4 1095, with stainless furniture.
It has some pretty decent curly maple for the handle.
After finishing it I wish I had moved the bolster forward. My son said he doesnt want me to touch it, he likes it just the way it is.
Thought I would share it with you.

Nice hunter- classic lines and maple looks great, and bolster looks fine- He'll enjoy that one forever!

Looks good !!! clean looking and i like the depth of the finger groove, should keep him safe

love the wood also !

an heirloom knife that is really well done.
the sheath is also quite nice.

Eric,
Very nice!!! I wish that I would have received something like this from my dad. Great piece of work that will be in the family for generations.
